So as it turns out, I really like fantasy books - especially on audio, I spend a lot of time scrapbooking online, I like cats and not necessarily in the popular way, and it's really hard for me to meet new friends in this strange new world I now live in called New York.

After much to do, after many no shows, and after too much hood, we found a place in Jersey City. We’re less than twenty minutes away from downtown New York on public transit, and actually live amongst tree lined streets, good restaurants, and things to do without crossing state lines. We signed the lease 15 minutes before we left for home.

And tomorrow the search begins. Will I be destined to live in suburbia, or will I have a view of Manhattan from my kitchen window?

Things to get done by October 1st:

  • find apartments in New Jersey
  • go to New Jersey, pick an apt, sign the lease
  • friend’s bridal shower that Im setting up with my mom
  • pack everything up in my apt except for what I need to survive before I move to NJ with Cal (somehow I think my closet will be the hardest part in this decision)
  • move to NJ
  • friend’s bachelorette party
  • go to a Bear’s game, which should be first on the list (because I can check it off later tonight, DA Bears)

Oh, so I guess Cal and I will be moving to this general vicinity in the next month (Cal) or so (me, Nov.) Chicago :..( New Jer-York-sey :)
